He completed his Tahfiz at the age of 13 and went to enrol at the the Institute of Islamic Education in Dewsbury.

Qur’ānic Sciences, including: Qur’ānic preservation and transmission Hadith Sciences Uṣūl al-Tafsīr Fiqh Economic theory and Islamic Financial Law (فقه المعاملات المالية) As this program focused primarily on Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh, he also pursued study of other sciences, particularly Hadith and Tafsir, outside the university. He enrolled in Umm al-Qura University in the holy city of Makkah, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Judicial Studies (Dirāsāt Qaḍā’īyyah). After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from the University of South Alabama, he decided to go abroad to further his studies of Islam. Around the time he was finishing high school, he also began his personal studies of the Arabic language and the Islamic sciences.
Salman Nasir was born and raised in Mobile, AL in the United States, but hails from a Pakistani origin. He dedicates his time in teaching, study, & research in Madinah where he currently resides with his wife. With over a decade of experience in working with different organizations at the local, national, and international level, he has held positions as a board member of many organizations, mosuques as Imam.
He has a working relationship with the Center for Historical Studies of Madinah, and is part of Taybah Research, The Society of Archaeology and Historical Sites of Madinah. He studied as well the archaeological sites and historical landmarks that are related to the life events of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) and is part of organizations, historical societies, and institutes dedicated to the study, research, and preservation of the historical sites in the two sacred sanctuaries of Makkah & Madinah. He continued to pursue his studies in the City of The Prophet (peace be upon him) for 10 years under the tutelage of over 50 of the scholars in Madinah in the Islamic sciences with a focus in Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Usul and Ifta, Hadith, Quranic Sciences and Tafsir, Sirah (Prophetic Biography), and History. His journey in seeking traditional knowledge started in the U.S. He hails from Afghan heritage, grew up in the US, & studied at the College of Islamic Law in the University of Madinah Global, which is a a global platform for creating faith-based community spaces that have sessions in London, New York City, Austin, San Diego, Ottawa, & expanding to other cities.
